Certificate Course in Ecology, Conservation and Mountaineering
The certificate course in Ecology, Conservation and Mountaineering aims to give the student a complete level 1 (basic/elementary) knowledge of the three subjects. The topics covered under each will include -
Ecology –Natural ecosystems, habitats, biomes, introduction to animal behaviour and biology.
Conservation – The current threats and solutions to environmental and wildlife conservation.
Mountaineering – Outdoor survival skills, basic mountaineering and trekking.
The course will also cover interpersonal skills and capacity building. Field trips and field work will be an integral part of the course. Experts will be conducting the course. The course is in collaboration with TrekDi and is starting enrolment June 2011.
